STRI & CRL Triumph
CRL (Clive Richardson Ltd) and STRI, the world’s leading sports turf consultancy, have scooped the top prize for their work in Ukraine at The Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland (ALCI) Awards 2012.
Crowned overall winner of the Bog Oak Trophy, STRI and Clive Richardson Limited were recognised for their work at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv, supported by ENGO and DESSO Grassmaster, who were also involved in delivering the world class playing surface.
STRI designed and managed the project whilst CRL – Clive Richardson Ltd was the sports turf contractor at the 42,000 capacity stadium which was one of the Euro 2012 venues. The ALCI Landscape Awards are held annually to celebrate the high standards of skills and professionalism of ALCI members across a range of sports turf and landscape schemes.
As well as receiving the main award at the event, STRI was also recognised with two merit awards in the Sportsgrounds category. STRI designed and project managed the Olympic Stadium project in Kiev with Clive Richardson Limited. A merit award was also received by STRI in recognition of its work with Tony Patterson at the Clare Campus in Limerick.
