Hayter’s new Harrier 48 and 56 Pro models
Hayter, makers of the finest mowers, unveiled two brand new Harrier® models at this year’s SALTEX event – the leading turf management exhibition for grounds care volunteers, professionals and manufacturers.
Designed for landscape professionals, the Harrier® 48 and 56 Pro mowers are all-new additions to the Harrier® rear-roller mower lineup. Since the first Harrier® professional lawn mower was established over a decade ago, the range has now been completely overhauled and professionals will benefit from the enhanced features and benefits in the latest models.
Available in Spring 2019, the latest Harrier® Pro mowers have been designed to be robust, vigorous and flexible to enable users to tackle a variety of turfs with ease. Featuring an all-new cast Aluminium cutter deck, transmission system and blade design, the Harrier 48 Pro now features a Honda GCV160 engine, with the Harrier 56 Pro featuring the new Briggs & Stratton 850 EX I/C engine.
Innovation is at the heart of the brand new designs, as both machines feature the Crank-Safe Blade Brake Clutch (BBC) system, an exclusive feature to Hayter and a first-of-its-kind in the industry. The Crank-Safe BBC system gives the operator the ease of use that comes with a BBC system, as well as reassurance of a lifetime warranty against the engine crankshaft bending*.
The Harrier 56 Pro provides the widest rear-roller in its class, allowing operators to not only ensure the classis British striped finish, but to also increase productivity by reducing mowing time. Both Pro models’ rollers are manufactured from steel for strength and durability and feature a two-piece rear roller design ensuring superb maneuverability and no turf marking, whilst the ribbed design provides superior traction on damp or undulating terrain.
Other notable features include Hayter’s Vari-Pitch™ technology – a favored feature from the Harrier® 41 series. This cutting technology automatically adjusts the cutter deck to increase air flow when set to cut longer grass. Further to this, the Easy-Wash system enables the user to clean the cutting chamber with ease after use.
Christopher Cooper, Product Marketing Manager at Hayter, commented: “Both the Harrier® 48 and 56 Pro models are welcome additions to a range that’s been integral to the Hayter portfolio for a number of years. With a 13-60mm height of cut range and variable speed transmission systems, they are an ideal choice for landscaping professionals, providing both productivity and reliability. In addition, these mowers come with a two-year warranty for professionals.”
