Plenty To See And Do At This Year's BALI Landscaping Show!
With a full seminar programme, the regional heats of the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition running, a busy demonstration area, plenty of new exhibitors and a new ContractorZone in place, the 2012 Landscaping Show has plenty going on!
The show takes place on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th June at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry, and will introduce eight industry experts who will be speaking in seminars across both days. Topics include the opportunities opening up for landscapers following new legislation; the Olympic Legacy and how it is being delivered; the impact landscaping may have on climate change, and detail on the new Joint Council of Landscape Industry’s (JCLI) Homeowner’s Consultancy Agreement and Landscape Contract. There will also be a session on new developments in Vectorworks Landmark design software.
In addition, and for the first time at the BALI Show, 14 student teams from eight colleges will be rolling up their sleeves to take part in the regional heats of the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition. The competition area will be set up alongside the show’s demonstration area so that visitors can watch the students compete for a place in the final at the NEC in November by creating identical gardens against the clock.
Live Demonstrations:
Visitors will also be able to watch live demonstrations of the latest products and benefit from the expertise of industry specialist companies such as Ransomes Jacobsen, Bartlett Tree Experts and Rigby Taylor.
The show has also introduced a ContractorZone this year for the first time. Following discussions, the National Contractors’ Forum (NCF) – a group of influential major contractors working in the landscape and grounds maintenance sector – has reached an agreement to partner with BALI and the official launch of the BALI-NCF partnership will take place at the show over lunch on the first day. The following BALI members have taken a stand in the newly created area, which will also house the BALI team; Enterprise, G Burley & Sons, Gavin Jones, Glendale Managed Services, Grace Landscapes, Ground Control, HFN Landscapes, John O’Conner, Kings Residential Landscapes, Norris & Gardiner, Oak View Landscapes, PC Landscapes, Robert Field Landscapes and Serco.
