IOG Revises Training Courses
The Institute of Groundsmanship has introduced a revised structure for its training courses. Level 1-3 is replaced by four-tiers – Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced, which are one-day courses, and a two-day Management course.
The IOG says the new courses have revised and updated content, and are in line with the views of users, IOG training instructors and the National Governing Bodies of Sport. They are aligned to Sector Skills Council / City and Guilds / NPTC National Occupational Standards, and embrace synthetic as well as natural surfaces.
Each course will be delivered by industry-leading professionals who are also fully-trained IOG training instructors, and is supported by a comprehensive information pack.
All IOG short courses qualify for IOG CPD points, and attending the Intermediate and Advanced courses also qualifies for BASIS CPD points. Participants also receive an Attendance Certificate or, on successful completion of online assessment are awarded with a Certificate of Achievement.
The new structure complements the IOG’s provision of bespoke training courses, as well as its IOG National Practical Certificate and National Proficiency Test Council courses.
