Christy O'Connor Jnr Hiring In The U.K.

28 Jun 2005

Following the highly successful launch of the 100% dedicated golf recruitment website www.golfjobs.ie in the Irish market the launch of www.golfjobs.co.uk has been announced.

The GolfJobs team: Steve Greenwood, Christy O’Connor Jnr and Fergal Brosnan

Spearheaded by Christy O’Connor Junior; Ryder Cup legend, Champions Tour player and renowned Golf Course Designer, www.golfjobs.co.uk is a central point for golf clubs to pool their marketing power and creates an easier way for candidates to find golf related positions from Greenkeepers  and Ground staff to Golf Professionals and Club Managers.

O’Connor Junior said ‘The concept of Golfjobs is that clubs and suppliers have a truly dedicated resource which is replacing the rather fragmented approach to recruitment in the golf industry” Over the last few years O’Connor has spent an increasing amount of time on course design work and is all too aware of the challenges facing new clubs when staffing a new course. “ From personal experience of working closely with golf club owners and managers I realise the difficulties and frustrations of the recruitment process and the Golfjobs concept appealed to me due to its wide ranging marketing power based on the use of the web”

The developers of Golfjobs.co.uk were keen to ensure that the website is perceived as more than a jobs board, and the site offers recruitment advice on cv preparation and interview skills, as well as links to specialist related golf industry sites. There is also a golf news feed from BBC sport as well as general information on careers in the golf sector.

Site sponsors have already been signed up and there is a range of advertising options available for both golf clubs and suppliers to the golf industry.
