What will you be doing?

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Grounds Person to join us on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to maintain all playing surfaces, facilities and surrounds to the highest standard possible for the user. Ensure safe, consistent quality playing surfaces are available. The position is primarily based at Staplewood Campus but may be asked to work at St Mary’s Stadium and AFC Totton on occasions.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is motivated, driven, and enthusiastic. You will have good communication skills and have a flexible approach to work schedules due to the needs of the business.

Essential:

• Previous experience within the industry
• Ability to work well as a team but equally independent using own initiative.
• The understanding and professionalism required to work in this specific environment.
• Flexibility to work within the changeable schedule of a football club. (Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings, as well as weekends as required).
• Reliable and committed.
• IT competent including mobile devices.
• Experience of using rotary and cylinder mowers, tractors and implements, white line markers.
• Basic Health & Safety knowledge.

Desirable:

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying licences.
• Clean driving licence
