THE ROLE: We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual in sports turf management to join our fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering top-tier sports surfaces, helping drive business development, and performing well in high-pressure environments. As part of a company that has significantly expanded in revenue and staff, the candidate will play a crucial role in our future growth and success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver expert turf consultancy services, ensuring professional-grade surfaces, especially for football clubs.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to growth strategies.
• Oversee and project manage pitch renovation and reconstruction projects, working with contractors to ensure they are completed on time and to high standards.
• Produce detailed, professional reports for clients, communicating complex information clearly.
• Work closely with clients to meet and exceed their expectations.
• Support clients in assisting with agronomic decisions that promote optimal turf health. Travel frequently to client locations, often requiring work during non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in sports turf management, ideally with professional football clubs. Strong knowledge of agronomy and pitch care techniques.
• Experience with pitch renovation, reconstruction, and maintenance with references showcasing past work.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software.
• Industry qualifications in turf management (e.g. Level 3 Diploma, BASIS, or equivalent). A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience working with high-end clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of the latest turf management technologies and practices.
• Experience leading teams or managing large turf projects.
