First Assistant Pitch Manager

About The Role

Leicester City FC have an exciting opportunity to join their award-winning Sports Turf and Grounds team. The overall objective of the First Assistant Pitch Manager is to support the Pitch Manager in the day-to-day operations and running of its new World Class training facility.

This role will offer the candidate the opportunity to manage a team and a dedicated area of the new facility ensuring that the highest standards are adhered to, protocols are followed, and the team is led by example as we push to ensure this world class facility meets the needs of all players and staff.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working within a similar management capacity and with strong organisational, people and leadership skills. We need someone who can communicate clearly and efficiently with all Club coaches and work alongside the other First Assistants to effectively plan for short- and long-term turf maintenance, whilst maintaining the highest standards for themselves, their areas of responsibility, and their team. Candidates should have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf or suitable / relevant alternative, alongside possessing a PA1, PA2 and PA6 qualification in the application and safe use of chemicals.
