On the Wessex stand at this year’s Saltex is an impressive line-up of Wessex ProLine roller mowers and SnowEx winter salt, grit and brine spreaders.

Joining the range and seen for the first time at Saltex is the Wessex ProLine RMX 500 Tri-Deck Roller Mower, an ideal machine for the groundsman who requires a large area mower to be used with a tractor of 70hp plus.

Wide area mowing offers cost-efficiency and the triple deck mower leaves a finish equal to a cylinder mower on fine turf, at a fraction of the cost. The Wessex RMX mowers have become the highly popular choice with councils, contractors and sports grounds and other models on show include the RMX 680, 240, 180 and the 360 Mounted which offers a generous 3.6m width yet is within highway width restrictions in transport, making it the ideal Local Authority machine.

The Wessex ProLine CR mowers are available in 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m and 2.4m working widths and are ideal for use with compact tractors from 12hp. These finishing mowers give a premium cut, running on their own wheels in combination with fully floating linkage points.

New this year are the Wessex FRX professional outfront flail mowers for use with Kubota and John Deere machines. Considered one of the best for cutting long grass on roadside verges as well as leaving a premium finish on sports turf, this is the ideal all-rounder for councils and contractors.

Having winter management systems in place before the first snow arrives pays dividends.  Displayed at the show are models representative of the large SnowEx range, from truck-mounted to pedestrian spreaders. Included are the 2300 litre capacity V-Maxx SP-9300X, with demount legs, and the SP 8500 trailer mounted spreaders.

The versatility of SnowEx spreaders is demonstrated with other models such as a trailer mounted SP-8500 and an SP-6000. The Bulk-Pro and Mini-Pro utility spreaders on show are ideal for councils, contractors, farmers and estates with the facility to mount them on commercial vehicles, 4×4’s, UTV’s, ATV’s, tractors and fork- lifts.

The use of brine solutions for winter maintenance is an increasingly popular practice and the SnowEx VSS liquid de-icers are at the forefront. To complete the line-up there are several professional pedestrian drop spreaders and brine sprayers for taking care of walkways, footpaths and shopping precincts.
