Have You Got Your Ticket For This Unmissable Event?
The Party for Perennial is set to be an unmissable occasion for everyone in the horticulture industry and anyone thinking of attending is urged to buy their ticket as soon as possible.
Taking place on Friday 15 January in London, the annual event is a high point of the calendar, kicking off the New Year with an evening of networking, fun and fundraising. All proceeds from ticket sales and from the auction and raffle on the night go toward helping Perennial support horticulturists and their families during times of crisis.
A fantastic list of prizes is now confirmed for the auction, which will be hosted by garden designer Andrew Fisher-Tomlin. These include a five-night luxury stay for two at a breathtaking South African retreat, courtesy of Virgin Limited Edition, an overnight stay for four at the historically important Kentchurch Court with exclusive garden tours of The Laskett and Lyndalls, a stay at the Loch Rannoch Highland Club and The Official History of Wimbledon book signed by Great Britain’s Davis Cup hero and 2013 champion, Andy Murray.
A growing list of horticulture’s well-known personalities such as Chris Collins will be attending. Already confirmed are group bookings from Sodexo, ISS and the Landscape Show, and attendees from Landform Consultants, Crowders Nurseries, John O’Conner Grounds Maintenance, Outdoor Options, Waterperry Gardens, Oakview Landscapes, BALI and many more.
Chris Collins said: “Who wouldn’t want to party for Perennial and support the best industry in the world!”
The party will be held at the spectacular Skyloft at the top of the Millbank Tower, offering impressive views over the River Thames and London skyline pictured above. It marks the launch of HortAid 2016, Perennial’s year-long fundraising campaign. The last party raised over £20,000 and, as the 2015 total for HortAid has now reached over £80,000, it shows just how significant a fundraising event this is for the charity.
Anita Bates, Director of Marketing and Development at Perennial, said: “The Party for Perennial is an important event for us – it is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, so the more people that attend, the more we will be able to fund support services for horticulturists that have nowhere else to turn. It is also a great opportunity for networking in a relaxed environment and many guests last year commented just how good an event it was from a business perspective. Please help us make this event even bigger and better than the last one by buying your tickets now.”
The Party for Perennial promises a line up of top-flight music and entertainment including SLAM! a six piece live party band of world-class professional musicians, led by saxophonist Simon Bates, who has taken party bands all over the world. The annual Perennial Champions will also be announced recognising individuals who have gone over and beyond in their support for the charity over the past year. The ticket price includes a glass of bubbly and delicious bowl food.
It is thanks to the generosity of the sponsors that the party is as profitable as possible for Perennial. The headline sponsor is CED Natural Stone, and other sponsors are the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), Bulldog Tools, Bulrush Tools and the Landscape Show.
All funds raised through ticket sales and the auction and raffle will help support all UK horticulturists, retired and of working age, and their families, who come to Perennial for help. As the only charity that helps individuals from all sectors of the horticulture industry, Perennial makes a massive difference to people’s lives when they have nowhere else to turn.
