The STIGA APX PRO: The new professional robotic workmate

The STIGA APX PRO: The new professional robotic workmate

1 Jul 2026

STIGA, Europe’s leader in the manufacturing and distribution of garden care machinery and equipment, presents APX Pro, the new autonomous, battery-powered robot mower designed to meet the needs of professional green maintenance operators, such as sports facilities, municipalities, golf clubs, and large estates. Engineered to handle even the most extensive areas and multi-site jobs, APX Pro is a solution developed and engineered in-house by STIGA to guarantee profitable performance, maximum versatility, and real autonomy, thanks to a powerful energy system, a robust design built to last, and a full suite of advanced technologies.

“Professional landscapers, municipalities, and sports facility managers are increasingly challenged by heavier lawn care workloads, a shortage of skilled labour and less time to complete them,” said James Gordon, MD of STIGA UK. “Our objective was to engineer a solution that relieves users from repetitive tasks such as lawn mowing, allowing them to focus on skilled, creative gardening work that truly benefits from human attention. This led us to develop a fully autonomous robotic mower engineered for large outdoor areas, offering high productivity, unlimited working capacity, simple maintenance, and adaptability.”

Proficient, resilient and outperforming: designed for professionals
APX Pro is the result of an engineering approach developed specifically for Pro usage. Its compact design, combined with advanced mechanics and the new STIGA ePower Pro battery system, ensures it can efficiently cover areas up to 27,000 m² in a single work cycle (with 6 ePower Pro batteries). Durable, powerful and modular, this battery technology has been designed to offer unlimited operating capacity while also facilitating charging, maintenance, and storage operations. APX Pro modular structure makes the machine easy to transport and allows for simplified multi-site management.

Powered by AI: full-suite of cutting-edge technologies
But it’s in technology that APX Pro truly marks a turning point. The machine integrates STIGA Vista Technology, a brand new AI-driven on-board camera that allows the robot to detect and avoid obstacles on the lawn, optimising mowing operation with great flexibility. The robot handles grass density and large areas with precision. The robot is “All powered by AI”: every component communicates with a centralised system based on artificial intelligence that interprets and combines data received from an advanced set of detection & proximity sensors, including LIDAR, ultrasonic sensors, gyroscope, and the integrated STIGA Vista Technology, to adapt the machine’s speed, trajectory, and behavior in real time based according to environmental conditions, grass density, terrain slope, and the presence of obstacles. Navigation and control are supported by technologies such as GPS-RTK and STIGA’s AGS (Active Guidance System), which ensures precision and continuity of cut. The goal is simple: to ensure precise, safe, and flexible work in any mowing condition.

Iconic Combi ePro cutting deck: mowing performance in STIGA style
Cutting is performed by the Combi ePro 110 Q Plus cutting deck, developed by STIGA to deliver superior mulching quality, backed by over 50 years of expertise, along with optimised energy absorption. Equipped with high-speed motors and blades, this cutting deck operates effectively even on uneven ground and in tall grass (from 20 to 95 mm), ensuring uniform, professional, and visually impeccable results.

Control and connectivity via STIGA.GO and Web Pro Apps
Designed for multi-site work, the robot is easily transportable and fully manageable via the STIGA.GO smartphone App, which enables real-time access to all the robot’s functionalities: from defining mowing zones to managing paths, viewing completed activities, and scheduling tasks. In addition, STIGA also introduces the new Web Pro App, a browser-based platform designed for professionals who own multiple STIGA products. It enables users to easily manage them simultaneously from a single interface, simplifying supervision with clear status overviews, predictive alerts, self-service guidance, and fast diagnosis to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.

With APX Pro, STIGA provides a tangible response to the new challenges of professional green care. A robot that combines outperforming power and proficiency in a machine engineered to last, capable of operating intelligently, adapting to different contexts, and simplifying every aspect of green space management.

The machine is available for purchase through STIGA Professional authorised dealers at a recommended retail price from early February 2026. See more about the Pro Range here: www.stiga.com/int/2r6119008-st1-apx-pro.html
