£750k investment for Agrigem

£750k investment for Agrigem

17 Jan 2017

Things are going from strength to strength at Agrigem with the move to their purpose built new warehouse and office due in mid-January. Agrigem was created 3 years ago by Managing Director Kieran Would and it has quickly grown into a niche market, specialising in a number of products including weed killer, fertiliser and grass seed where they offer advice and next day supply.

What started out as a few shelves in a garage is now a multi-million pound business who distribute products to their 17,000 customers across Europe. They have just invested £750,000 into two new buildings at Riverside Enterprise Park at Saxilby.

The main building ‘Gem House’ will compromise of around 4,000sq foot of specialist racked warehouse space and around 2,000sq foot of office space. This will act as Agrigem headquarters for all their operations. The neighbouring unit is a strategic investment by Agrigem to secure future growth and storage needs.

The need for a new warehouse and office is on the back of large growth from Agrigem. Managing director Kieran would explains, ‘We have seen exponential growth over the last 3 years with the last 12 months presenting some very exciting opportunities for us. This has meant we have grown our full time staff from 3 to 6 since January with a view to employ a further 3 full time people over the next 12 months’.

‘We will be moving from previously rented premises near Market Rasen to our brand new building at Riverside. This is an incredibly exciting time for my team who’s hard work have made it all possible. The site was chosen partly for its prominent location and excellent transport links, but also because it is one of a few semi-rural industrial parks which offer excellent property for freehold purchase’.

The warehouse will store various specialist products which are destined for everything from gardeners and farmers to high profile clients such as top class Golf courses, Racecourses, and football pitches.

Agrigem will be posting new exciting career opportunities on their Facebook page so please follow them for updates.
