Apprentice to Manager, Josh’s last day at Turf Business
The Turf Business team won’t be the same again as we say goodbye and good luck to Josh Hodge, our multi-talented Production Manager.
Josh joined the company just over three years ago as a promising young apprentice and has turned his hand to many a task, mastering everything from page layout and web design to social media development and sales. Many of you have seen Josh in his role as cameraman, just one of the many skills he has grasped during his successful apprenticeship.
Publisher Martin Smart recognised Josh’s talent and enthusiasm early on and he was keen to mentor his new apprentice, as Martin says: “Josh joined Turf Business as a young apprentice and leaves us as a mature Production Manager. I am proud of how far he has come and what he has achieved since he joined the team. Josh has been a brilliant asset to our company and he has probably gone as far as he can with us. It is time for Josh to spread his wings and I wish him every success in his future career.”
Managing Editor, Mervyn Barnard, has been another great influence and support to Josh since he joined Turf Business, introducing him to the world of publishing and passing on his knowledge of the turfcare industry. Mervyn adds: “Josh has been a pleasure to work with over the last three years – full of youthful enthusiasm coupled with a desire to learn. But we have run out of challenges for him so it is time to move on to pastures new, and everyone on the team wishes him the very best for the future. He will be missed.”
