‘Perfect 10’  will be showcased by Barenbrug at BTME 2009 – 10 brand new cultivars that star in the specialist grass seed breeder’s  BAR range for 2009.
Highlights include four outstanding new fescues for fine- and medium-fine turf – Viktorka and Bargreen II, both of which boast unrivalled shoot density and disease tolerance, as well as drought and salt tolerant Hardtop and rapid-establishing Barmalia.

Two new mixtures also join the line-up – BAR Sprint for racecourses and, for turf producers, a fast-establishing Poa annua-beating mixture, BAR OC. These new additions are also joined by the recently introduced BAR 50 SOS, which has proved a real success with greenkeepers and groundsman seeking rapid turf repair thanks to the inclusion of the unique cultivar 4IR-1, renowned for its cool-soil germination.

The ‘Perfect 10’ also includes new fine-leafed tall fescue, Barleduc, and smooth-stalked meadowgrass Bariris, which benefits from excellent wear tolerance and recovery and a superior winter green colour, as well as another speedy-establisher, the very fine-leafed Barhelene. Completing the line-up are two hardwearing perennial ryegrasses – Bardorado, with good tolerance to leaf spot, and Barillion, with superior shoot recovery.
