Groundscare Products have added a new hard turf edging blade to their Turf Teq range of groundcare equipment which facilitates grass and soil cutting at edges of paths or kerbs. The Turf Teq range also includes a Surface Preparation Rake, Power Edge Trencher, Brush Cutter and Power Broom.

How often do you see grass spreading untidily over the top of kerbs or onto pathways? Turf Teq have recently developed a blade suitable for tackling this problem. It fits the standard Edger/Trencher machine, and we should have stock in UK by the middle of December. Meanwhile, we have a prototype, which is available for demonstrations.

This additional capability will considerably enhance the versatility of the Edger/Trencher.

The tasks performed by the Edger/Trencher are as follows:

With Groomer blade

·         Grooms edges of existing flower and shrub beds

·         Grooms edges of golf bunkers

·         Grooms tree rings

With Hard Edge blade

·         Cuts grass/soil against kerbs and other hard edges

With Opener blade

·         Re-establishes the edge, gulley and soil profile of damaged or neglected bed edges

·         Digs the outline of new beds or bunkers

·         Digs new tree rings; re-establishes existing ones

With Trenching blades

·         Dig drainage channels

·         Sand slitting

·         Plant whips e.g. for hedging

·         Install edgings such as log roll, gravel boards or bricks

·         Install rabbit fencing, electronic pet fence, auto-mower guide wires and low voltage cables

·         Carry out root pruning and stump grinding
