Director of Agronomy appointment at Bernhard

Director of Agronomy appointment at Bernhard

14 Nov 2016

Bernhard and Company is pleased to announce that Jonathan Pendry, agronomist and turf consultant, has joined the company as Director of Agronomy.

The company is already renowned in the industry for its ability to offer full service turf care solutions to its global customer base, and Jonathan’s agronomic know-how and considerable experience will further strengthen their reputation as a leading supplier of turf health solutions. Jonathan will initially focus on providing customer support to the latest additions to the Bernhard EMEA product portfolio, SubAir™ Systems and TurfBreeze™, products which he already has an in-depth working knowledge of.

Jonathan has worked for many years in the sports turf industry, developing, constructing, consulting and managing some of the World’s finest facilities. In 2012 he founded his own consultancy business, International Turf Company (ITC) and over the last four years ITC has established itself as a premier consultancy with projects across Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. Jonathan holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Turfgrass Science and has recently gained recognition as a GEO sustainability associate.

Jonathan has the perfect credentials to support Bernhard’s industry leading customer care programme, and will liaise with sports turf managers and their consultants to ensure that optimal turf health solutions are provided.

“We are delighted to have Jonathan on board,” says Steve Nixon, Director of Global Sales. “Jonathan greatly strengthens our ability to support our business partners and customers, both existing and future, helping them to identify and choose optimal solutions that give them the best quality turf. We now have the ability to see projects through from conception to completion, offering expertise and support all the way.”

“I have worked closely with Bernhard on several projects recently and I have always been impressed by the level of customer service, training and education that they provide,” adds Jonathan. “The company is truly focused on turf health and ensuring that customers get the quality of turf they desire. I really look forward to working closely with Bernhard’s global customer base and supporting the Bernhard team in growing the business.”
