Ever Edge Holds A Firm Place In Landscaping

27 Mar 2008

EverEdge, the company that produces the Classic range of flexible steel garden edging, has seen encouraging growth in sales of both its ProEdge and Bespoke products over the past two years. The original products were designed to provide a solution to maintaining neat edges for lawns, drives, paths and borders. ProEdge was developed for landscapers and people wanting a heavier duty permanent edging for drives and walkways.Supplied in lengths of 2.5m ProEdge is designed to be more flexible in use and more aesthetic for runs of long, continuous lines. It is ideal for where landscapers are installing large quantities, providing a fast and easy edging solution for straight, curved and circular drives. ProEdge is 2.5mm thick making it easily shaped to the required angle, and it comes in the standard depths of 75mm, 100mm and 125mm. The different sizes are engineered to fit together, compensating for changes in depth along the run of the drive or walkway. “In the past year we have seen a twenty percent growth in sales of EverEdge over the previous year, largely due to ProEdge,” says Alex Hall, EverEdge’s Managing Director, “with installations in stately homes, National Trust properties, palaces, public parks and gardens as well as golf clubs, private properties and estates.” Orders of ProEdge are usually for 50m or more and the company normally holds 2000m in stock, with a three to four day delivery. The steel is galvanised with a heavy-duty weather resistant paint for further protection, with the standard colour in brown, although other colours can be produced on request.

EverEdge Bespoke is made to order, providing a service to landscape architects and specifiers whereby thicker steel and greater depths can be produced. Reigate contractors Calabasas are currently installing 2500 metres of EverEdge Bespoke 2.5m x 150mm high x 4mm thick at their Priory Park restoration project.  “The service is good, reliable, the product is high quality, user friendly and offers value for money,” says Guy Humphryes, Calabasas’ Managing Director.

New to the EverEdge ranges is a slate colour, popular for urban designs and for the European markets, where EverEdge is enjoying considerable success. The company now exports their British made products to more than fifteen countries.
