Groundstaff vacancies at the ‘Home of Cricket’

Marylebone Cricket Club is the world’s most active cricket club, custodian of the Laws of Cricket and is also the owner of Lord’s Ground, affectionately known as the “Home of Cricket”. 

The MCC and Lord’s brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymous with excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, whether at an international cricket match or a special event. 

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join the Groundstaff Department. Whether you have groundsmanship experience or not, this is an ideal chance to learn and improve the necessary skills relating to use of technical equipment and general grounds work through on-the-job learning. 

This fixed-term position will assist in the preparation and maintenance of all playing and practise areas under the direction of Head Groundsperson and support the Groundstaff Department. Providing a helpful and professional service to players, managers and other users of the ground is essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Groundstaff experience or general understanding of required duties. 
  • Prepared to work in adverse weather conditions. 
  • Committed and enthusiastic approach to work. 
  • Must show interest in personal improvement and technical development.
