John Deere Extends Deal With Royal St George’s

17 Jan 2007

John Deere dealer Godfreys of Sevenoaks in Kent has signed a new three year preferred supplier agreement with The Royal St George’s Golf Club at Sandwich, host of 13 Open Championships.

The agreement covers the supply and servicing of a full range of John Deere golf and turf equipment, including greens, tees & surrounds and fairway mowers plus compact tractors and Gator utility vehicles, for use by course manager Neil Metcalf and his team. This follows the previous three year agreement signed in 2003, and underlines the club’s commitment to providing the highest possible standards of course maintenance.

Godfreys delivered its very first machine, a 2500 triple greens mower, to Royal St George’s in October 2002. The latest additions to the fleet include a 3235C fairway mower, an electric E-Gator utility vehicle and a 47hp 4320 compact tractor. The club continues to be impressed by the quality and reliability of the machines, as well as the support service offered by the dealer, which have contributed to the decision to extend the agreement.
