Technical Surfaces, the UK’s leading synthetic sports surface maintenance specialists, pride themselves on offering their clients a complete service; from safety inspections and ad-hoc repairs through to maintenance contracts, renovations and supplying equipment tailored to artificial surfaces, essentially affording customers peace of mind on a national scale from their Leicestershire base.

Whether your synthetic surface needs treatment for moss or debris, a tear in the carpet is forcing you to cancel bookings, or you even want to add new pitch markings to maximise usage and return on your investment, Technical Surfaces has the solution.

One such client to benefit from this ‘holistic’ approach to pitch maintenance is Finsbury Leisure Centre in North London. The recent replacement of the Weldmesh fencing surrounding the two five-a-side football pitches has capped a busy year for maintenance at the centre, whose three 3rd Generation rubber-crumb surfaces have benefitted from regular Power Sweeps by Technical Surfaces’ since 2006.

As well as the continued quarterly maintenance contract, the pitches each gained from a deep-cleaning Revite®, along with full-length seam replacements to help return playing performance to the high standards that the centre demands and to which users have become accustomed. And it’s not just the players who are pleased with the outcome:

“We use Technical Surfaces for a wide range of services related to our artificial pitch,” explains General Manager, Linda Handley. “From the regular maintenance contract and repairs to the supply of goals and even the recent fencing works which have all really improved the facility as a whole. We are very pleased with the level of work carried out by Technical Surfaces and it’s reassuring to know that any issue regarding the pitch is readily available by making one easy phone call.”

And don’t worry if you think you’ve missed the boat – maintenance packages and reactive treatments can be implemented all year round. Technical Surfaces even offers a Winter Revival™, a cosmetic, surface-level solution to help customers through those tricky months where rain, falling leaves and mud brought onto the facility can combine to affect the way your surface looks and feels, as well as its ability to drain effectively and its continued health and safety status.
