Pictured – last year’s deserving winner, Lord’s Karl McDermott.
The aim is to find the industry’s most influential figure or organisation in the previous 12 months, recognising their telling contribution to the turfcare industry. The earlier initial nomination round has been used to compile a shortlist which we are now handing back to you, the industry, to vote for your winner.
There could be a whole host of reasons why you feel a colleague, mentor or even talented trainee should be listed. These are people who inspire, innovate, lead and invent, all in the best interests of the business.
Last year’s winner – Karl McDermott, Grounds Manager at the legendary ‘Home of Cricket,’ Lord’s – said: “It really does mean a lot to me and to have someone in the cricket industry at the top I think means a lot to everyone. There was such a wide spectrum of sectors in that top 10, which is pretty amazing and everyone is doing a great job.”
But who could it be next?
Your chosen nominee could be lining up alongside luminaries of the industry and past winners Karl McDermott, Grounds Manager at Arsenal – Steve Braddock, Karl Standley at Wembley Stadium as well as two-time winner Paul Burgess.
Remember – this award recognises the industry’s most influential people and organisations, with voting carried out by fellow professionals across the field. It acknowledges influencers who possess an outstanding level of knowledge, experience and skill-set within their specific portfolio of expertise.
