Unrivalled consistency with the Eclipse 2
When it comes to golf greens, consistency is key, and Jacobsen assists greenkeepers in delivering it with the Eclipse 2’s exceptional quality of cut and automated controls.
The Eclipse 2’s reliability comes from the TrueSet™ cutting unit, Classic XP™ reel design and LCD control screen. Operators can set the frequency of clip (FOC), mower speed and other settings to suit course conditions using the password protected screen while the on-cut is secured with TrueSet™ units. On-cut is secured by TrueSet, not HoC. TrueSet is all about being able to adjust the mower easily to ensure it has the optimum reel to bedknife setting giving the perfect cut.
The industry-leading units provide unrivalled holding power by using 192Kg (425lbs) of force to hold the bedknife in place and ensure a clean and consistent cut. while the screw system used to make bedknife-to-reel adjustments moves the bedknife 0.025mm and confirms each movement with an audible click. The HOC can be altered quickly with a 13mm spanner
Consistency is increased further using the patented true floating head which closely follows undulations and allows the lowest cut possible without the risk of scalping. The optional bi-directional groomer brush system can be used to enhance the quality of cut, and the automotive differential provides superior tracking by driving the traction drum from a fixed point, making it easier to track straight across the green.
It’s crucial that productivity isn’t sacrificed for cut quality and presentation. The Eclipse 2’s units are quick and easy to set, so it gets out the workshop promptly and onto the greens with a 5mph transport speed, and once there it can be set with a pin protected menu to operate up to 3.8mph while maintaining tight FOC.
Cutting widths of 47.7cm, 55.9cm and 66.1cm are available with floating or fixed heads and the option of hybrid or electric power. These environmentally friendly power options make the mowers significantly quieter during operation and are well suited for use on courses situated in built-up areas that have early morning noise restrictions.
