Winter may seem a while off, especially with the bouts of warm weather we’re experiencing.

But it is the wise who are planning their winter maintenance systems now so they don’t get caught out by even the earliest of harsh conditions the British weather can throw at us. Efficient snow and ice control begins with having the right equipment to cover all eventualities.

SnowEx salt and grit spreaders have spread as the professional choice across the UK and through Europe. Designed and built to perform in North American winter conditions there is a complete range to choose from to meet Health and Safety legislation.

Towed spreaders for ATV’s, mounted units for UTV’s, 4x4s, pick-ups, trucks, tractors and trailers, there is a SnowEx spreader to meet your requirements from 47 litre  to 4500 litre capacity. Many have in-cab control units for precise operation of spinners and augers, preventing overspreading and material wastage, while offering greater comfort and safety for operators.

SnowEx vehicle spreaders have a 12V DC direct drive motor which is mounted in a weather-tight enclosure, ensuring reliable power in all situations. The drives comprise a revolutionary maximum torque transmission with hardened steel worm and bronze gear.

A steel auger feed system gives a positive and accurate supply, while the UV protected hoppers are constructed in high density polyethylene for zero corrosion and reduced weight. SnowEx spreaders come in one colour: bright yellow, so you’ll be safely seen coming and going.

Take your first steps towards winter maintenance now and you will be in good shape by the time the icy tentacles of winter are upon us.
