We hope we have put the worst of the winter snows behind us, in April no less. Thinking ahead, however, is no bad thing with regard to being prepared for what next winter throws at us.

A key to safety and keeping the wheels in motion come the next snows is having a winter risk management system in place. One that is cost-effective and designed for local authorities, contractors, farms and estate use has at its heart the SnowEx SP-1875 with its massive 254 litre capacity in a non-corrosive, heavy-duty polythene hopper. With its simple and safe operation of the spread width and variable speed controller from inside the cab, this high capacity utility spreader is designed for use with larger vehicles.

The SP-1875 attaches easily to a vehicle tailgate and features a horizontal auger and offset disc to increase efficiency and versatility, while a vibrator is fitted as standard. Stainless steel flow restrictor tubes are also available as an optional extra, to prevent leakage of very free-flowing material.

As with all spreaders in the range it features the unique SnowEx 12V maximum torque sealed drive unit, so there are no belts, pulleys, sprockets or chains to break. The SP-1875 and the rest of the SnowEx range, say distributors Broadwood International, give excellent performance in the most exacting conditions and offer top value for money.
